Chapter 29 - You And Your Subconscious Mind As Partners In Action…In Relation To Creativeness And Self-Expression

"In the beginning god created the heaven and the earth. . . ."

For much of mankind, those words, recorded in Genesis almost 6,000 years ago, have been ever since, the basis for interpretations of relationships with the Creative Spirit. They have undoubtedly been related to your own interpretation through your religious faith.

I am going to put an interpretation on them that is directly related to your concept of self-influence. This interpretation is related to a partial summary of most theological and philosophical interpretations which is, in brief: "Since God created this world and all things in it, including humans, He is our

Father and we are His children. As His children, we have both obligations and opportunities. But above all, all things begin and live because of the Creative Spirit. Therefore all things begin and end with God. This has always been and will always be."

You are a creative being

Now I am going to add to that interpretation and put a slant on it that I hope will "hit home," insofar as you are concerned. Since you were created by this Master Creator and since you are part of His creative scheme of things, you are endowed with a natural aptitude for creativeness! Creativeness is both the source and the power of life. You have life and, therefore, you have the power of creativeness.

What's new with you?

Are you using this power and this aptitude? Are you using it to help satisfy those urges for recognition and achievement, to satisfy that great need you have for self-expression? How often has something like the following happened to you? You meet someone who greets you with: "What's new?" You come back with: "Brother, let me tell you what's new!", and you proceed to tell about the new sales idea you put across, or a new idea of yours that your club is working on or any new idea of yours that is being used. Do you ever give such an enthusiastic response to "What's new?" If you don't, I know that it isn't because you don't have good ideas. You have good ideas in abundance but unless they are being used, they haven't much value.

Just "having" good ideas isn't being creative in the dynamic sense that pays off. To create means to originate and produce. You must produce your ideas, get them into use, otherwise who knows or even cares if you have them? Who has the responsibility for producing them? (Tip: the answer is to be found on the first page of the second chapter.) People who don't produce good ideas are the ones who say: "I wish I had thought of that" or: "I have a pretty good idea, but somebody else has probably beat me to it." These are the kind who throw away their aptitude for creativeness and "starve" themselves for lack of recognition and achievement.

Good ideas produced and put to use result in action that is the highest form of self-expression. All it takes is self-influenced action to capitalize on the aptitude you have for creative-ness. Creativeness and self-influenced action on good ideas are effective tools for self-expression, "straight across the board," in your Me.

Try out your good ideas

First, there is that obvious field of invention and improvement in the world of mechanical and material things. You may never be concerned vocationally with this field, but I am reminded of the many useful and profitable contributions that have been made by laymen in the technical progress of our country. So, don't sit on any idea you may have in this field. At least try to produce it. I am pretty sure that the best "mouse trap" has not been made as yet!

Be creative about relationships

Then there is the need for creativeness in relationships with people. A good creative job as a program chairman, where you produce and put your ideas into use, will be appreciated by your club or group, and be a highlight experience in self-expression. Creating harmony, creating good-will, creating enthusiasm, among your associates, simply means producing your good ideas. You could almost have a full time job in this field, you and your creativeness.

Meet competition with creativeness

Another field where creativeness in action is almost a necessity is in meeting competition. You can't avoid competition, and I'm sure you wouldn't want to. If you had no competition in your endeavors, you would probably be such a "lone wolf' that people by the dozens would avoid you! But good ideas, produced and put to use, will always keep you at least level with your competition and will help you surpass it often enough to make life more interesting!

Good ideas often save the day

Creativeness is also effective when circumstances or conditions around you get into "bogged down" state. These are the times when others do not seem to know "where to turn next/' or they frantically hope that something or somebody will come along with an idea for putting things right again. Ideas seem to be scarce at such times, or so others say! The person who saves the day, and become the "hero," can very well be you, if you will just take an objective look at the situation. You are creative! You will come up with a good idea, and you will produce it, and it will be used, provided you use the power of self-influence first. You can do that!

Yes, you have the "point" now! Creativeness is follow-through on good ideas. But producing an idea sometimes takes a bit of practice. Sometimes you have to kick an idea around a bit so that it is "born" healthy and strong. In fact, this is highly recommended so that you make no false starts when you do produce an idea. I am sure I don't have to remind you that the place to prepare good ideas for production is in your subconscious mind.

Some people are credited with having an over-abundance of originality and imagination. But I think that most of them are simply using the power of their subconscious to amplify their good ideas. Certainly, this is what you can and should do. When you see a right time and place for the application of one of your good ideas, assign the basic idea to your subconscious and let it get polished up so that it conies out ready for first-class production.

Produce your good ideas

There is one more field where creativeness and self-expression are teamed up. This has to do with a subject entitled, Your Subconscious Power How to Make It Work for You. Yes, this whole book of yours is based upon "good ideas," and you have a creative relationship to every one of them. The whole process of your experience in this, your book, is based upon creative-ness, which means, of course, the producing of those ideas and the action of putting them to use by that creative being, you! Furthermore, the net result of this true creativeness is a continuous demonstration of self-expression, again with you as the subject.

From these facts you can draw a conclusion that forecasts a life-time experience for you, in productive creativeness and in stimulating self-expression. This forecast is based upon your present objective, which is to shape a progressive, self-influenced life for yourself. This objective is supported by creativeness and self-expression. Therefore, a life-time relationship of these factors is assured.

Yes, through self-influenced action, you are creating a new model of yourself. And you are building a new plan of living for yourself, one in which you will express yourself according to the highest standards.

In view of what has come to you through your latest experiences, would you not say that God created a pretty good world? I am sure you would, and I add, He created a pretty fine person, in you!

In Sum

You have a natural aptitude for creativeness.

You have an innate desire to express yourself.

Putting your ideas into action uses that aptitude to satisfy that desire.

Use your power of the subconscious to amplify your ideas.

Summary Of Part Three Perfection

You have built an inner security.

It guarantees your desired serenity in life.

You have a clear understanding of you and your subconscious as partners in action.

Basically, your security stems from your newly acquired ability to express your innate power of creativeness.

This is to say that you now have the security and the ability to counteract the negative influences about you and in you.You will do this through action.
